Does This Look Winnable?

The session in which Julie gets a flat tire on the way to the studio and after a few anxious phone conversations on all sides, we decide the show must go on! So, Cindy interviews Marilyn Frank, LCSW about her involvement in the organization Protect & Elect. This is a group of concerned local citizens helping to elect candidates who will protect democratic values and who are committed to making our country more equitable and inclusive.

There’s a Long To-Do List

The session in which we interview Elise Gaul, LPC and her son Ryan Micolucci about what it’s like to have, or to be, a family member coming out as transgender or gender non-conforming.

This session has great content but it’s also the session in which we realized we needed to consult with a sound engineer! The audio on this, our first 2-person interview, suffered a bit as the 4 of us huddled around our beloved Blue Snowball mic.

Stumbled Into a Yoga Class

The session in which we interview Rhoda Fuchs-Morton, MA, CAC, LPC, about her Yoga practice focusing on people in recovery. Learn more about her new studio, Yoga for Recovery, on her website fuchsmortonholistic.com by clicking on Yoga Therapy at the top.

The first class is complimentary.

Money Changes Things

The session in which we interview Betsy Teutsch about mid-career change and a sense of mission.

Betsy is the author of 100 Under $100: One Hundred Tools for Empowering Global Women (but that’s a future podcast).

The World Benefits from Kindness and Generosity

The session in which Julie interviews Cindy about Equity and Equality. It’s Julie’s turn to be the interviewer as the Shrinks get ready for their first guest next week.

FYI the delicious coffee they’re drinking can be found at groundsforchange.com. It’s from Peru and is called Cafe Femenino. It’s grown, processed and traded by women.

Cindy also briefly mentions diningforwomen.org.                              Dining for Women is a global giving circle dedicated to transforming lives and eradicating poverty among women and girls in the developing world.

Willing to Talk About Anything

The session in which Cindy interviews Julie about dealing with shame and how frequently shame comes up in clinical practice. As we set out together on our journey into podcasting, we decided to interview each other before inviting guests. We are also getting to know each other as we begin learning the A-Z’s of podcasting.                                      A = And microphone makes 3 (or more?!).                                      Please leave a comment or email us to let us know what you think: shrinksonthird@gmail.com
